Description: 

Phase 2A consist of removing the peat and soft clay within the wetland, replacing with sound material and installing a box culvert.

The purpose of Phase 2A is to re-build the Hydro line and other utilities on top of the future elevated road and to remove the existing utilities, including the existing hydro line, pedestals and other related works. Phase 2A schedule is as follows:

  1. Tree clearing shall be completed by April 4th, 2025
  2. The work in the wetland cannot start before July 16, 2025
  3. All work except for the landscaping shall be completed by November 14, 2025
  4. Utility companies shall have full access to the site between November 15, 2025, and April 18, 2026, to install their infrastructure.
  5. Landscaping work shall be completed by May 29, 2026 

The future Phase 2B will be the construction of the roundabouts. The Hydro line and other utilities will be moved, by the utility companies, after the completion of Phase 2A, by the contractor.

The ultimate project consists of the construction of two (2) roundabouts, known as Phase 2.
