| Description: |
The City of Clarence-Rockland is seeking a consultant to undertake a Tourism Study and develop a comprehensive Tourism Strategy that will identify opportunities to grow tourism, attract investment, diversify the local economy, and enhance visitor experiences. The study will assess existing tourism assets, market potential, challenges, and opportunities through stakeholder engagement and industry analysis. The strategy will focus on leveraging the City's strengths, including its location along the Ottawa River, proximity to Ottawa and Montreal, agricultural sector, natural and recreational amenities, growing events program, waterfront potential, and Francophone heritage. It will also examine opportunities to position Clarence-Rockland as a year-round destination and assess the feasibility of sports tourism as a driver of economic growth. The final Tourism Strategy will provide clear, actionable recommendations and an implementation roadmap to strengthen tourism offerings, improve investment readiness, support sustainable growth, and capitalize on opportunities in agritourism, waterfront development, sports tourism, cultural experiences, and outdoor recreation while preserving the community's rural character and quality of life. |
